Enfusion Rules Change

Enfusion sent out a press release this morning regarding a pretty substantial rule change. The change being made will no longer allow for any throws or sweeps to take place. Although the throws and sweeps aren't any fighters main form of attack, knowing how to use them correctly can provide and advantage. This shouldn't be a negative impact for anyone, but it seems the rules are getting aligned to follow traditional Kickboxing more.

In addition to the rule change two new weight classes are being added by the promotion. A 160 lb (72.5 kg) weight class will be added to the men's division, and a 147 lb (67 kg) weight class will be added to the women's division.

Enfusion will showcase Superbouts and Elimination bouts in the future, the duration of these fights will be 5x3 minute rounds for the fighters, alongside the Enfusion World Title fights of 5x3 minute rounds.

Ilias Bulaid set to fight at Enfusion Live #32 and Enfusion Live #34

Enfusion has pegged Ilias "The Blade" Bulaid as one of the up and coming fighter in Kickboxing. They signed Bulaid to a contract and he has delivered for the promotion. He is fresh of an Enfusion title defense at Enfusion Live 30 where he scored a first round KO in less than two minutes over Simon Santana. A devastating knee to the side of Santana's jaw dropped him to the canvas and he could not recover. It was a spectacular knockout for the Moroccan fighter.

At only 20 years of age Morocco has built a strong resume with big knockouts, which has made him a fan favorite at Enfusion Live events. Enfusion know has plans to start putting him against some of Kickboxing's bigger names.

Bulaid will be back in action at Enfusion Live 32 in Gent, Belgium on October 10th, although his opponent is yet to be announced.

He will return to the ring against after Enfusion Live 32 on November 21st when he faces Houcine Bennoui at Enfusion Live 34. Bennoui is one of France's top fighters and has been in the ring with several big names including Singmanee Kaewsamrit, Saenchai, and Damien Alamos.

Enfusion Live #30 set for this weekend in Dublin, Ireland

Enfuion Live #30 will take place this weekend in Dublin, Ireland. Two Enfusion world titles will be on the line at the event. Ilias Bulaid and Simon Santana will fight for the Enfusion 147 lb world title and Iman Barlow and Samantha van Doorn will fight for the Enfusion 119 lb women's world title.

Enfusion Live #24 Card

Enfusion Live returns February 7th with a full lineup, set for Eindhoven, Netherlands.  The reality style television series brings together some of the best in the world to compete in a tournament completed over several episodes, the winner of which takes home a large cash prize.

Tiffany van Soest vs. Denise Kielholtz set for Enfusion Live "Glorious Heroes" on Nov. 23rd

Enfusion Live "Glorious Heroes" is set for November 23rd in the Netherlands. The event will feature Kickboxing legend Andy Souwer as he takes on Iran’s Ardalan Sheikholeslami. American Tiffany van Soest will also be in action on the fight card as she takes on Dutch striker Denise Kielholtz for the Enfusion 125lb World Title.

Van Soest has risen to the top of the Women’s Muay Thai scene in the past few years and talks about a fight with Keilholtz have circulated for quite some time as a match fans would love to see. Van Soest is currently under contract with Lion Fight, but the promotion has granted her permission to fight Keilholtz under the Enfusion banner. This should definitely be one of the most exciting, if not the most exciting fight of the night as both of these ladies are explosive in the ring.

Enfusion Live took place this last weekend featuring a stunning bout between Ilona Wijmans who defeated Denise Kielholtz. Both fighters moved forward to engage in a close fight that should be amongst the top female bouts of the year. The January 12th event marks the first of Enfusion's 2014 scheduled fights.

Enfusion Live Results

Enfusion Live took place this past weekend on December 1st in London, United Kingdom. The main event featured Michael Wakeling vs. Ali Gunyar and it turned into a fire fight. In the third round Wakeling scored a standing after a flurry of strikes, the fight continued and Wakeling threw a spinning back fist that missed and landed on the body. Despite the spinning back fist Gunyar went down and claimed that Wakeling connected with an illegal elbow to the chin. The fight was sent to the judges and Wakeling was awarded a unanimous decision.

In other action American Andrew Tate defeated Hungary's Laszlo Szabo by unanimous decision. It took Gaetan Saturon less than a minute to dispatch of Razvan Ghita after a vicious right hand landed.
