Michael Wakeling vs. Regian Eersel set as main event for Muay Thai GP 2


Muay Thai GP 2 will take place November 22nd  in the Indigo at the O2 Arena in London, England. The event will feature a 4-man one night tournament as well as a main event bout between Michael Wakeling and Regian Eersel. The pair will fight for the vacant Muay Thai GP Super Middleweight Championship.

Wakeling has long been considered one of the UK's most exciting fighters and holds wins over Pajunsuk Super Pro, Ali Gunyar, and Craig Jose. Wakeling has focused on Kickboxing and will be making his return to Muay Thai after four years.

Eersel is a Surinamese striker who is known for his KO power. At only 23 years of age, Eersel has been in the ring with some serious talent including Cosmo Alexandre and Khalid Bourdif.

Enfusion Live Results

Enfusion Live took place this past weekend on December 1st in London, United Kingdom. The main event featured Michael Wakeling vs. Ali Gunyar and it turned into a fire fight. In the third round Wakeling scored a standing after a flurry of strikes, the fight continued and Wakeling threw a spinning back fist that missed and landed on the body. Despite the spinning back fist Gunyar went down and claimed that Wakeling connected with an illegal elbow to the chin. The fight was sent to the judges and Wakeling was awarded a unanimous decision.

In other action American Andrew Tate defeated Hungary's Laszlo Szabo by unanimous decision. It took Gaetan Saturon less than a minute to dispatch of Razvan Ghita after a vicious right hand landed.

USA vs. UK

With all of the excitement after Team America defeated Team Thailand at this past weekends M-One event in Los Angeles, the talks have now shifted to Team USA vs. Team UK. We have to give a disclaimer that none of the bouts listed are happening as of yet and that this is just our minds at work here at Muay Thai Authority, nothing is officially happening yet with any of these bouts.

If there were a Team USA vs. Team UK event, what would the match-ups be? We compiled what we think would be ten great match-ups pitting some of the best from the USA against some of the best from the UK. Below is a list of the fights that we feel would make one amazing USA vs. UK Muay Thai event.
