Damien Trainor returns to action at MTGP 3 on March of 2016


UK Muay Thai fighter Damien Trainor will be coming out of retirement in 2016. Trainor has not competed in nearly four years, but the K-Star fighter will be facing a soon to be announced opponent at Muay Thai Grand Prix 3 on March 26, 2016.

Trainor has fought all over the world including Thailand and Australia. He has fought the likes of Rungravee Sasiprapa, and a great trilogy with Andy Howson.

Iman Barlow signs two fight deal with Muay Thai Grand Prix


Muay Thai Grand Prix has just announced that Iman Barlow has signed a two fight deal with the promotion. Barlow is expected to be in action for the promotion in 2016 on their March 26th and October 15th shows.

Barlow is the current Enfusion 54 kg champion and holds wins over Alexis Rufus and Karla Benitez.

The announcement of her first opponent under her new contract with Muay Thai Grand Prix is expected to take place at the November 22nd MTGP 2 event.

Michael Wakeling vs. Regian Eersel set as main event for Muay Thai GP 2


Muay Thai GP 2 will take place November 22nd  in the Indigo at the O2 Arena in London, England. The event will feature a 4-man one night tournament as well as a main event bout between Michael Wakeling and Regian Eersel. The pair will fight for the vacant Muay Thai GP Super Middleweight Championship.

Wakeling has long been considered one of the UK's most exciting fighters and holds wins over Pajunsuk Super Pro, Ali Gunyar, and Craig Jose. Wakeling has focused on Kickboxing and will be making his return to Muay Thai after four years.

Eersel is a Surinamese striker who is known for his KO power. At only 23 years of age, Eersel has been in the ring with some serious talent including Cosmo Alexandre and Khalid Bourdif.

Muay Thai Grand Prix and Lion Fight Promotions announce partnership


The UK’s Muay Thai Grand Prix has formed a partnership with Lion Fight Promotions. The partnership is set to feature fighter swaps as well as Lion Fight exclusive talent vs. Muay Thai Grand Prix exclusive talent, champion vs. champion fights and tournament featuring fighters from both promotions.

Muay Thai Grand Prix’s next event will take place on November 22 at the O2 Arena in London and will feature a 4-man tournament with Charlie Peters, Ben Lucas, Alex Bublea and Superbank Sakchaichote.

Kieran Keddle and Philip Tieu are the men at the helm of Muay Thai Grand Prix. There are an expected three events scheduled by the promotion in 2016.

Lion Fight Promotions is one of the top Muay Thai promotions in the United States and their events are featured on AXS TV.
