The Main Event 2013 Results

The Main Event 2013 took place this past weekend in Manchester, UK and the main event on the evening featured a bout between two of the best European’s. Liam Harrison and Dylan Salvador went for five hard rounds. Many thought the edge might go to Salvador because of how each of the fighters last few fights had gone, but Harrison showed everyone he shouldn’t be forgetten. When it was over Harrison won a unanimous decision victory in a bout where he dictated the pace and gave Salvador all he could handle.

Fight card set for The Main Event 2013, Liam Harrison vs. Dylan Salvador headlines

This weekend The Main Event 2013 takes place in Manchester, UK. The night’s main event will feature Liam Harrison vs. Dylan Salvador in what is expected to be an excellent fight.

Harrison has been regarded as one of the best fighters from the UK for quite some time. He has been involved in fights with some of the Muay Thai world’s best including Saenchai, Sagetdao Petpayathai, Andrei Kulebin, and Anuwat Kaewsamrit to name a few. Currently Harrison has hit a bit of a skid dropping his last four fights, his last win coming at The Main Event 2012 against Andrei Kulebin.

Salvador has been making waves on the Muay Thai circuit as of late with his biggest win coming in 2012 against Saiyok Pumpanmuang. A win over Harrison would add another solid name to his list of victories.

Results and Recap: The Main Event; Liam Harrison stops Andrei Kulebin in the third round

Liam Harrison and Andrei Kulebin fought the “The Main Event” in Manchester, England this past weekend on March 30th. Harrison one the UK’s top fighters and Kulebin one of the best from Belarus were expected to deliver fire works in the ring. Harrison made sure to deliver as found a kink in Kulebin’s armor and finished the fight in the third round. Despite Kulebin stalking Harrison throughout the fight, he was unable to cause any damage. Harrison on the other hand connected with pin point, laser fast leg kicks as Kulebin tried to back him into the ropes. By the third round it was visually evident that Kulebin’s lead left leg wasn’t going to be able to withstand anymore punishment. Harrison added a few addition leg kicks until Kulebin hit the canvas. The fight was stopped and Harrison defeated Kulebin by (T)KO 27 seconds into the third round.

Tim Thomas vs. Andy Thrasher and Liam Harrison vs. Andrei Kulebin set for "The Main Event" on March 31, 2012

On March 31, 2012 "The Main Event" in Manchester, England will feature some of the best fighters in Europe going head to head. The three confirmed bouts so fare are Tim Thomas vs. Andy Thrasher, Liam Harrison vs. Andrei Kulebin and Andrew Tate vs. Joe Mcgovern.

Thomas and Thrasher are both coming off excellent 2011 campaigns and will be fighting for three titles. The WMC MAD, ISKA and WKA world titles will all be on the line. Thomas captured the ISKA title in Cambodia in 2011 and posted a record of 7-1-1. Thrasher won the Toyota tournament, something many considered an upset and posted a record of 7-2 in 2011. Thomas and Thrasher have met in the past, a fight which Thomas won via stoppage.

Liam Harrison in considered by many to be the best fighter out of the UK and he will be taking on one of the best from Belarus in Andrei Kulebin. Harrison's year hasn't gone as most though it would, but he has faced some very talented competition. He dropped fights to Petaswin and Saenchai, but followed it up with a stellar KO of Justin Greskiewicz in his American debut. The year for Harrison ended on a sour note
