As previously reported by Total Muay Thai, Romie Adanza will be back in action on February 18th. His opponent will be Japanese WBC International Super Flyweight Champion Tomonori Sato of Japan. The bout will take place at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Also set for the card is a bout between Tetsuya Yamato and Densiam Kooprabath.
Adanza last competed in October of 2011 at the M-One “Team Thailand vs. Team American” event where he scored a spectacular knockout of Langsuanlek Sasiprapa. Adanza has not competed since October and will undoubtedly face a stiff test in his first bout of 2012. Adanza is considered one of the best fighters in the United States, currently ranked #2 in Muay Thai Authority’s P4P rankings.
Yamato was last seen by American fans at Stand Up Promotions “M1 Grand Muay Thai” event this past August when he recorded stoppage over Coke Chunhawat due to a cut. Since then Yamato has won a few bouts in his native Japan and will be looking to keep things going as his 2012 campaign gets underway.
