Lion Fight 17 fight card change, Mr. Knock vs. James out Alexandre vs. Nattawat in

Lion Fight 17 has had a few changes over the last few days. Initially Thepnimit “Mr. Knock” Sitmonchai vs. Dean James was set as the main event, but an injury to James and visa issues for Thepnimit have scratched the bout from the fight card. The co-main event of Justin Greskiewicz vs. Malaipet Sasiprapa has now been bumped up to main event status. A new co-main event featuring Cosmo Alexandre vs. Jo Nattawat has been added to the event.
Another change that has taken place is Victor Monfort will no longer be fighting against Brett Hlavacek and has been replaced by Cyrus Washington. The fight between Washington and Hlavacek will serve as a re-match of their WBC National Title Fight earlier this year.
Lion Fight 17 will take place August 1st from Foxwoods Casino in Ledyard, CT. The event will also air live on AXS TV.

Fight card set for Lion Fight 17

The fight card for Lion Fight 17 is set. The promotions second trip to the east coast on August 1st will feature a main event bout between Thepnimit "Mr, Knock" Sitmonchai and Dean James.. The co-main event will feature a re-match between Malaipet Sasiprapa and Justin Greskiewicz. The remainder of the card will feature some east coast stand outs such as Rami Ibrahim, Andy Singh and Brett Hlavacek.

Thepnimit will be making his American debut , known for his knockout prowess fans will definitely be in for a treat. James will be looking to collect another huge win over a Thai fighter this year, in March he defeated Rungravee Sasiprapa by (T)KO. 

Malaipet and Greskiewicz fought at Lion Fight 6 in 2012. Their first fight was a majority decision win for Malaipet. The fight was the second win for Malaipet during his recent six fight win streak, although recently he has lost his last two. Greskiewicz will be looking to build upon his recent victory over Jose Palacios.

Thepnimit Sitmonchai vs. Dean James and Malaipet Sasiprapa vs. Justin Greskiewicz set for Lion Fight 17

Lion Fight 17 will bring Lion Fight back to east coast. The event will take place at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut and will feature a main event fight between Thepnimit Sitmonchai and Dean James. The co-main event will feature a re-match between Malaipet Sasiprapa and Justin Greskiewicz. 

Thepnimit will be making his US debut, he fights out of the highly touted Sitmonchai gym in Thailand. Dean James is a veteran fighter from the U.K. who will be looking to add the resume of a respected fighter like Thepnimit to his already stellar resume. Fans can expect a technical and exciting fight from these two.

Malaipet and Greskiewicz previously fought under the Lion Fight banner back in 2012 with Malaipet taking home a majority decision. Malaipet will be looking to snap a two fight losing streak while Greskiewcz will be looking to avenge his previous loss against Malaipet and build upon his recent win over Jose Palacios.

POS 14 set for November 30 in Scotland

POS (Power of Scotland) 14 will take place November 30, 2013 in Paisley, Scotland, UK. The event will feature a main event bout between UK veteran fighter Dean James and France's Amine Kacem of the famed Nasser K team. For those not familiar with Nasser K their stable of fighters includes Fabio Pinca, Dylan Salvador, and Houcine Bennoui to name a few. It should be a nice fight between a seasoned vet in James and a young up and coming fighter in Kacem.

Also on the card will be Ritchie Hocking vs. Yassine Ahaggan, Kieran McAskill vs. James O'Connell, and Jason Dick vs. Ross Cochrane.

Cosmo, Aikpracha, Mananquil, Saiyok, Rungrave and James rumored for October M-One event

M-One is looking to make an impact on the Muay Thai scene with their upcoming October event at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA. The event currently scheduled for October 21st is already expected to feature a fight between American Joe Schilling and Thai Kaoklai Kaennorsing. Muay Thai Authority, however, has confirmed with a source close to the situation that three more fights are currently being worked on. Nothing is official and the bouts should only be considered as rumors for now. The three fights rumored to be in the works for the October 21st event at Club Nokia are Cosmo Alexandre vs. Aikpracha Meenayotin, Michael Mananquil vs. Saiyok Pumpanmuang­ and Rungravee Sasiprapa vs. Dean James.
