First it was Artem Levin vs. Simon Marcus, then it became Artem Levin vs. Joe Schilling, it then turned into Joe Schilling vs. Artem Vakhitov and now it is expected to be Joe Schilling vs. Karapet Karapetyan. Muay Thai Authority has been informed that Artem Vakhitov will no longer be fighting Joe Schilling at Battle for the Belts on June 9th in Bangkok, Thailand. Vakhitov has been replaced by Karapet Karapetyan, and will meet Joe Schilling for the Interim WBC Muay Thai Light Heavyweight Title.

February of this year, he dropped a decision to Dutch fighter Nieky Holzken; in March he scored a knockout over Greek fighter Alexandros Chatzichronoglou with a flying knee; and in April he took home a decision win over Yakup Kaya.
