WFL Unfinished Business Results: Mohammed Khamal wins, 3 tournament champions crowned


WFL Unfinished Business took place this past weekend and it featured three tournaments in one night as well as main event bout between Mohammed Khamal and Chahid Oulad El Hadj.

In the main event Khamal scored first round stoppage of El Hadj. The knockout came in the second round and marks another impressive win for Khamal since his return from retirement a little over a year ago.

In the night's 95kg tournament Luis Tavares and Lorenzo Javier Jorge advance to the finals. Tavares walked away the tournament winner after the bout went an extra round and he was awarded the decision.

Cedric Manhoef and Massaro Glunder ended up in the finals of the 70kg tournament and it was Manhoef who took home the tournament victory. Manhoef defeated Glunder by decision in the tournament final.

In the women's 60kg tournament, Ilona Wijmans defeated Orinta van der Zee to take home the tournament win.

In other action Bogdan Stoica suffered a loss to Ibrahim El Bouni after injuring his knee in the first round. The knee injury is expected to keep him out of action for about six weeks.

SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix 2015 Final Elimination Results: Morosanu wins by KO, Stoica brothers victorious


SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix 2015 Final Elimination took place this past weekend on October 2nd in Milan, Italy. 

In the night's main event Romania's Catalin Morosanu faced Poland's Tomasz Czerwinski. This bout was over quickly, but it was exciting while it lasted. From the ring of the opening bell Morosanu came out looking to end the fight. A little over a minute into the bout he knocked Czerwinski down with a right hand. After beating the referee's count Czerwinski went on the offensive looking to connect with some big punches, but Morosanu avoided Czwerwinski's punches. 30 seconds after the first knockdown Morosanu struck the final blow with a counter left hook that flattened out Czerwinski. With the win Morosanu has now won four consecutive fights.

The night's co-main event featured Andrei Stoica vs. Pavel Voronin. In the first round Stoica looked to work the head and body with punches while mixing in the occasional kick, Voronin looked to attack Stoica's lead leg with kicks. Stoica took over in the second round as his boxing was too fast and accurate for Voronin. In the third round Stoica connected with a knee to the body that forced Voronin to take a knee. He recovered to make it to the end of the bout, but it was clear that Stoica was the winner and he took home a unanimous decision. With the win Andrei Stoica has now won eight consecutive fights.

In other action on the night Bogdan Stoica won his sixth straight fight with a unanimous decision win over Patrick Veenstra and Amansio Paraschiv out pointed Giannis Skordilis to win a unanimous decision.

Full Fight Card for SuperKombat World GP Final Elimination


The SuperKombat World GP Final Elimination is set to go down tomorrow in Milan, Italy. Here is the full fight card for the event.

The night's main event will be a heavyweight bout between Romania's Cătălin MoroÈ™anu vs. Poland's Tomasz Czerwinski. MoroÈ™anu is a super star in his home land of Romania, aside from being a highly touted Kickboxer, he is a former Rugby player and is currently the IaÈ™i County Counsilor. He is currently on a three fight winning streak and is 17-3 in his last 20 fights.

The Stoica brothers Andrei and Bogdan will be in action. Andrei Stoica will fight Pavel Voronin andBogdan Stoica will fight Patrick Veenstra.

Andrei Stoica and Bogdan Stoica in action at SuperKombat World GP Final Elimination


The SuperKombat World GP Final Elimination event is shaping up to be a solid fight card. In addition to the main event between Cătălin Moroșanu and Tomasz Czerwinski, the Stoica brothers Andrei and Bogdan will be in action. Andrei Stoica will fight Pavel Voronin and Bogdan Stoica will fight Patrick Veenstra.

Andrei Stoica is currently on a seven fight win streak with four of those seven wins coming by KO. He knocked out Fred Sikking in the first round this past August under the SuperKombat promotion to defend his SuperKombat Super Cruiserweight Title.

Bogdan is currently on a five fight win streak with three of those wins coming by stoppage. His last fight was this past August for SuperKombat where he defeated Fabio Kwasi by split decision in an very close fight.

Also fight at the event will be Romania's Amansio Paraschiv vs. Giannis Skordilis

The SuperKombat World GP Final Elimination will take place in Milan, Italy at the Ciak Tiatro on October 2nd.

SUPERKOMBAT WGP IV Romania Results: Stoica retains title with first round KO


SUPERKOMBAT was back in action this past weekend with SuperKombat WGP IV Romania. In the main event Andrei Stoica put his SuperKombat cruiserweight world title on the line against Fred Sikking. In true fashion, Stoica lived up to his nickname of "Mr.KO". He scored with a left that ended the bout in one minute and fifteen seconds. After the win Stoica stated "I told you before. This belt it's mine. Sikking came out agressive, he threw some shots, but he had no chance."

In other action Raul Catinas scored a first round knockout over Victor Bogutzki. Bogdan Stoica and Fabio Kwasi were involved in a battle that was very close and ended in a split decision in favor of Bogdan Stoica by split decision.

Fight Card for SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix IV 2015


The full fight card for the August 1st SuperKombat World Grand Prix IV 2015 has been confirmed. All match-ups except for Crisitan Spetcu's have been announced. The event which takes place in Constanta, Romania will feature a main event title fight between Andrei Stoica and Fred Sikking. The pair will compete for Stoica's SuperKombat Cruiserweight Title.


Also fighting on the card will be Bogdan Stoica as he takes on Mike's Gym fighter Fabio Kwasi. This should be an exciting fight as both fighter have had some strong showings as of late. 


Other notable fights taking place at the event include Dorin Robert vs. Gokhan Gedik, Atakan Arslan vs. Alex Filip, and Victor Bugotzk vs. Raul Cătinaș.

Bogdan Stoica vs. Fabio Kwasi set for SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix IV 2015


Bogdan Stoica has an opponent for the SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix IV 2015 taking place August 1st in Constanta, Romania. Fabio Kwasi, a product of the famed Mike's Gym in Holland will challenge Stoica at the event.

Stoica is currently on a four fight win streak with three of those victories coming by (T)KO. Stoica stopped Horace Martin in the second round in his last outing this past June. Kwasi is fresh of a huge win over Sebastian Ciobanu this past June at SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix III 2015

The fight joins the already confirmed bouts of Andrei Stoica vs. Fred Sikking and Robert Dorin vs. Gokhan Gedik on the event.

Andrei Stoica vs. Fred Sikking set for title fight at SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix IV 2015


Andrei Stoica will put his SuperKombat super cruiserweight world title on the line against Fred Sikking at SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix IV 2015 on August 1st in Constanta, Romania.

Stoica won the SuperKombat super cruiserweight title in December of 2013 and has since defended his belt twice. Currently on a six fight winning streak, Stoica will have the home crowd supporting him against the Dutchman. Sikking is a veteran who boasts 45 career victories and has the skill set to test Stoica.

The other confirmed bout for the event features Dorin Robert vs. Gokhan Gedik, and Andrei's brother Bogdan Stoica is also expected to be in action on the night.

Dorin Robert vs. Gokhan Gedik set for SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix IV 2015 August 1st in Constanta, Romania


The SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix IV will take place August 1st in Constanta, Romania. SUPERKOMBAT has confirmed a bout between two heavy hitters in Dorin Robert and Gokhan Gedik. These cruiserweights are known for their ability to finish fights and this one going the distance seems unlikely.

Also slated to appear at the event is Andrei and Bogdan Stoica, two of SUPERKOMBAT's main attractions. The brothers opponents have not been confirmed yet by SUPERKOMBAT, but an announcement is expected shortly. Andrei comes into the event with a six fight win streak while Bodgan will enter the event with a four fight win streak.

Glory 17 headed to PPV with stacked middleweight tournament

Glory has now decided to make the move into the PPV world. For Glory 17 fight fans will no longer have to wait for a tape delay replay on Spike TV, they will be able to purchase the event live on PPV. So what is Glory looking to do for their first PPV event? An 8-man tournament featuring some of the biggest names in their middleweight division.

The six names confirmed for the tournament are Wayne Barrett, Bogdan Stoica, Melvin Manhoef, Joe Schilling, Alex Pereira, and Simon Marcus. The line-up is stacked, and although the final two slots are not confirmed if they could be filled by Artem Levin and Steve Wakeling the scenarios of potential match ups would be something fans would most likely go crazy for. For know everyone is just left to speculate as to who will fill the last two spots.

Super Kombat 2013 World GP Finale set for December 21st

The Super Kombat 2013 World GP will come to an end this weekend in Galati, Romania. The event will take place December 21st with the heavyweight tournament semi-finals featuring Redouan Cairo vs. Giannis Stoforidis and Frank Munoz vs. D’Angelo Marshall.

Ther will be two title fights at the vent as well. In a super cruiserweight title fight Romania’s Andrei Stoica will take on Ondrej Hutnik of the Czech Republic. The Super Kombat cruiserweight title fight will also on the line as Igor Bugaenko takes on another Romanian powerhouse in Bogdan Stoica. American Mike Bourke will look to shock the world by taking out Romanian fan favorite Alexandru Lungu in a super fight.

Super Kombat Giurgiu set for October 12

Super Kombat will return on October 12th in Giurgiu, Romania. The event will again feature a tournament so that one fighter can win entry into the Super Kombat Grand Prix later this year. The heavyweight tournament will feature Thomas Vanneste vs. Dorin Robert and Abderahmane Coulibaly vs. Ibrahim Arab.

Romanian main stay Bogdan Stoica will be in action again this time against Egypt's Amir Zeyada. The United States will also have a fighter in action on the night as James Wilson takes on Damian Garcia in a super fight.
