To expand on the rankings, all fighters born in North America are eligible. North America will include fighters from the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Rankings are based on P4P.
1. Kevin Ross (U.S.A.)
Ross added another notch to his belt by defeating Malaipet at the Kings Birthday Celebration. Ross only cemented his number one status, and is the likely torch carrier for American Muay Thai.
2. Romie Adanza (U.S.A.)
One of the most skilled Muay Thai fighters in the United States, it is safe to say that Romie Adanza has lock on the number two spot. He recently defeated Paulo Da Silva for a third time, and possibly could face him a fourth time since both will be participating in a 4-man tournament in China starting December 18th.
3. Stephen Richards (Jamaica)
Richards is currently recovering from a broken arm that he suffered in his impressive victory over Shawn Yarborough back in August. Richards plans to be back in action and more active in 2011.
4. Shawn Yarborough (U.S.A.)
Yarborough will be fighting Brandon Banda at the first Lion Fight Promotions event in February. Yarborough is looking to get back on the winning track after dropping a unanimous decision to Stephen Richards back in August.
5. Ky Hollenbeck (U.S.A.)
Hollenbeck has had an impressive year, unfortunately for fans most his fights have taken place outside the United States. He will be participating in a 4-man tournament starting December 18th, and will be looking to run his 2010 record to 7-0-1.
6. Joe Schilling (U.S.A.)
Schillings praise is long over due. He defeated a very game Chaz Mulkey at The Kings Birthday Celebration in Los Angeles, and is now the number one ranked super middleweight for the WBC National Muay Thai Title. With an impressive record of 9-1, the man they call Stitch em Up throws lethal elbows, and has cut almost all of his opponents.
7. Alex Berrios (Puerto Rico)
Injuries have kept Berrios out of action the second half of 2010, but the Florida based fighter brings a well rounded arsenal. If it were not for a loss to Stephen Richards earlier this year, Berrios would undoubtedly be higher in the rankings.
8. Jesse Miles (Canada)
Miles entered the 2010 Kings Cup as a severe under dog, and things didn't get easier for him when he drew Cosmo Alexandre in the first round. The Mike Miles product was able to make it to the final bell only to lose on points, and recorded only the second loss of his career.
9. Anthony Nieves (U.S.A.)
Nieves November fight fell through at Bangkok Fight Night VIII when the show was postponed until December. He looks to return to Muay Thai full time after dabbling in boxing in 2010 winning his pro debut, and taking time to develop his fight team.
10. Justin Greskiewicz (U.S.A)
The Purple People Eater is one of the most active fighters. With a fight anyone anytime mentality, this fan favorite is currently on a two fight win streak, after a controversial draw cost him an IKKC International Title back in October.
Joe Schilling gets his due and steps into the rankings and replaces Shane Campbell who has been inactive, and currently making a move to MMA.
