Knees of Fury 34 results: Team Australia sweeps Team America

Knees of Fury 34 took place in Australia on September 16th in what was dubbed as Team KOF Australia vs. Team America MMA. The Muay Thai show featured two notable American Muay Thai fighters in WBC Muay Thai Super Heavyweight International Champion Steven "Panda" Banks and William "The Bull" Sriyapai. The third fighter rounding out "Team America" was Jon Owens who mainly fights MMA. Team Australia featured Paul Slowinski, Kym Johnson and Myles Simpson, all three proved to be too much for "Team America" as each stopped their American opponent before the final bell.

Slowinski and Banks punished each other for three rounds before a body shot ended Banks night. The loss is the first of Banks Muay Thai career, he had won his first thirteen fights. Sriyapai was stopped in the fourth round by Johnson after the referee had seen enough and stepped in to keep him from taking any more punishment. Owens was a victim of Simpson's leg kicks as the damage mounted up and eventually he could not continue.
