Scott Hirano was on hand at Millennia MMA last night in Rancho Cucamonga to capture pictures of Siala-Mou "Mighty Mo" Siliga as he trains for the upcoming K-1 Heavyweight GP in Los Angeles, CA. The former K-1 champion did some pad work with William Sriyapai and some sparring with one of his training partners. Knees of Fury 34 results: Team Australia sweeps Team America

Knees of Fury 34 took place in Australia on September 16th in what was dubbed as Team KOF Australia vs. Team America MMA. The Muay Thai show featured two notable American Muay Thai fighters in WBC Muay Thai Super Heavyweight International Champion Steven "Panda" Banks and William "The Bull" Sriyapai. The third fighter rounding out "Team America" was Jon Owens who mainly fights MMA. Team Australia featured Paul Slowinski, Kym Johnson and Myles Simpson, all three proved to be too much for "Team America" as each stopped their American opponent before the final bell.

Slowinski and Banks punished each other for three rounds before a body shot ended Banks night. The loss is the first of Banks Muay Thai career, he had won his first thirteen fights. Sriyapai was stopped in the fourth round by Johnson after the referee had seen enough and stepped in to keep him from taking any more punishment. Owens was a victim of Simpson's leg kicks as the damage mounted up and eventually he could not continue.

Pictures: Push Kick Promotions "World Stand Off" Pro Fights

Scott Hirano was on hand for Muay Thai Authority at Push Kick Promotions "World Stand Off" to capture all of the night's action. Below are the pictures from the night's pro fights.

Results: Push Kick Promotions "World Stand Off"

by Faye Lucas
Pomona, CA -- Despite losing two of its pro fights at the last minute Push Kick Promotions "World Stand Off" was quite an exciting event. Ky Hollenbeck vs. Gornpet "Diamond Hands" DeJrat and Neungsiam "The Rock" Samphusri vs. Charles Williams were the canceled bouts.

Lerdsila "Mr. Lightning" and Sheymon Da Silva headlined the event and early on it was clear that Lerdsila had no respect for Da Silva as he kept his hands down mocking him and encouraging Da Silva to kick him in the leg. Da Silva pressed the action the entire fight, but Lerdsila was very effective with his counters. When they clinched it was very clear that Lerdsila was the stronger fighter as he tossed Da Silva to the canvas on several occasions. Da Silva continued to press the action the entire fight while Lerdsila seemed content to simply counter and use his speed against the Brazilian fighter. When it was all said and done Lerdsila "Mr. Lightning" walked away with a unanimous decision victory.

In the end he fell short of beating arguably the world best pound for pound Muay Thai fighter.

Also on the card Rungravee Sasiprapa defeated Damien Trainor via decision. Both Saenchai and Rungravee are expected to the United States and compete at Stand Up Promotions event in August which will take place in Anaheim, CA. When the fight was over all the judges agreed that the fight belonged to Humby and awarded him a unanimous decision. With the win it is safe to say that Humby has won the final fight between Sriyapai and himself.

We've been had by The Bull

Yesterday on Muay Thai Authority we posted that William "The Bull" Sriyapai was calling it quits after his fight with Baxter Humby on April 10th at IFS 7 "New Blood". The news came off of Sriyapai's facebook, little did we realize yesterday was April 1st.

The post was an April fools joke by Sriyapai, and we will admit we were had. Well played William, we are sure you not only fooled us, but many of your fans. Sriyapai plans on continuing his fight career after the bout with Humby.
