Scott Hirano was on hand at Muay Thai School USA to capture some pictures for Muay Thai Authority of Saenchai training for his upcoming fight against Kevin Ross. Saenchai will be facing Kevin Ross for the WBC Muay Thai diamond belt and the MTAA world title at Stand Up Promotions "M1 Grand Muay Thai Championship".

Who wins, Kevin Ross or Saenchai? Predictions for Stand Up Promotions "M1 Grand Muay Thai Championship"

Once again it's time for predictions. This Sunday August 14th Stand Up Promotions "M1 Grand Muay Thai Championship" will be taking place at Commerce Casino in Commerce. CA. In the night's main event fans will see Muay Thai great Saenchai taking on American stand out Kevin Ross. Also on the card Rungravee Sasiprapa will take on Kunitaka Fujiwara, Coke Chunhawat will face Tetsuya Yamato, Malaipet Sasiprapa will look to defend his WBC Muay Thai international title against Chike Lindsay and Daniel Kim will lock horns with Carlos Ramirez.

Saenchai vs. Kevin Ross
With the WBC Muay Thai diamond belt and the MTAA world title on the line there is a lot at stake in this fight. In one corner you have Saenchai, arguably the P4P best Muay Thai fighter in the world and in the other corner you have Kevin Ross, America's Muay Thai poster boy. Saenchai expressed interest in fighting Ross last year, but the bout didn't seem like much of a possibility at the time, fast forward to present day and the fight is now a reality. There are a few things to take into account in this fight, the first being the American scoring system. Aggression plays a big factor and many judges are not Muay Thai judges, but rather MMA or boxing judges that are scoring Muay Thai fights. This could play in favor of Ross because he is an aggressive fighter and like many Thai's have shown in the past they tend to simply feel their opponents out in the first few rounds.

Diamonds Are Forever: Ross Meets Saenchai

by John Wolcott
Ever since antiquity man has understood the power of diamonds, often referring to them as the “unbreakable” mineral. These gemstones, along with their lustrous appearance, have the reputation of being the hardest and toughest of all jewels. Because of this, there’s no question concerning man’s allure to this magnificent piece of earth. With that, what better fight than Saenchai Sinbimuaythai versus Kevin Ross for the WBC to award its first ever Diamond Belt in its Muaythai division? Does

Saenchai, known as one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world, not bring with him to the ring the very same qualities as one of the most yearned for jewels on earth? Furthermore with this level of opposition, will Ross not be performing under the same pressures that are known for making diamonds? It seems to me this belt is fitting for a clash between these two combatants, each having paved the way for the sport in their own respective ways.

On August 14th Kevin Ross will take on Saenchai at Stand up Promotions "M1 Grand Muay Thai Championship". The fight is expected to be a true test for Ross as it is expected to be his toughest fight to date. Scott Hirano was on hand in Las Vegas, NV to capture photographs of Ross as he prepares for this career defining fight. Ross will be looking to capture the MTAA world title which Saenchai currently holds and the first ever WBC Muay Thai diamond belt with what should become a classic performance.

Saenchai no longer participating in league portion of the MPL, replaced by Saiyok

The Muaythai Premier League has announced some bad news for fans of Muay Thai. Saenchai Sinbimuaythai will not be participating in the promotion's league portion any longer due to scheduling conflicts. Despite the bad news of Saenchai not being part of the league format anymore there is a silver lining in that he has been replaced by Saiyok Pumpanmuang a former Rajadamnern champion and current Lumpinee Stadium super welterweight champion. The Muaythai Premier League has released the following statement.

"Due to scheduling conflicts with his many upcoming fights, Saenchai SinbiMuayThai of Thailand has been withdrawn from the League portion of the MPL. We are extremely disappointed by this news.
