WCK Muay Thai was in full swing at Pala Casino in Pala, CA last night. The main event was the highly anticipated fight between America's Miriam Nakamoto and England's Julie Kitchen, and the bout did not disappoint.
Nakamoto and Kitchen had their full arsenal on display as they fought back and forth for five hard fought rounds. With all the build up leading up to the fight there was no let down and the fans were treated to a great fight. Both fighters answered the other's strikes with their own. The fight was extremely close and in the end the judges awarded Nakamoto the victory by unanimous decision.

In the night's four man tournament which was a qualifier for this years WKN Belarus Big 8 Tournament which is expected to take place in November of this year, Artem Sharoshkin took home the win.
In the tournaments opening round Sharoshkin defeated Joe Davidson by decision and Chris Culley defeated Raul Rodriguez to set up the tournaments final match up.
In the finals of the four man tournament Culley was evasive I'm the opening frame as he circled well and and kept away from Sharoshkin. In the second round, however, Sharoshkin was able to start connecting eventually earning a stoppage victory and the tournament win.
Jemyma Betrian and Tiffany Van Soest fought a back and fourth fight to a draw. In the second round Van Soest dropped Betrian after landing a spinning back fist. In the third round Betrian was deducted a point for striking to the back of the head. Despite the point deduction and the knockdown two judges scored the fight a draw and one judge gave the fight to Van Soest making the result a majority draw.
In another top female bout Lena Ovchynnikova defeated Kealani Vanderleest by decision. Ovchynnikova was able to out point Vanderleest and stay a step ahead in route to a unanimous decision victory.
Dave Nielsen defeated Ryan Madigan in a controversial KO in the second round. Through the opening round it seemed Madigan had Nielsen in trouble. In the second, Nielsen appeared to have swept Madigan. As he began to stand prop himself back to the standing position, Nielson landed a soccer kick to his head. It appeared that Madigan should have been considered down and the kick should have been deemed illegal. As of now, however, no official ruling has been made on the outcome being over turned.
Also on the card up and coming Mike Lemaire earned a second round stoppage over Miguel Cosio. Lemaire looked solid and the bout was stopped after some solid elbows and knees from Lemaire.
