Rungravee Sasiprapa in America

Rungravee Sasiprapa makes his next US appearance this July 4th in Las Vegas under the Lion Fight Promotions banner to face California based Adrian Morilla.

The Bangkok based fighter makes his 3rd appearance to American fans, having solidified a viewership off two previous appearances, both in 2011.

In August 2011 Rungravee faced Japan's Kunitaka Fujiwara in a bout where Rungravee captivated the audience in the first round with kicks that banged loud across the arena, an elbow to the head that gave Fujiwara his first 8-count of the bout and a head kick that prompted the ref for a second 8-count.  Fujiwara would go on to sustain a beating in the second round, receiving another 8-count before being knocked down by a right hook that had the referee intervene and stop the fight.  By the sound of the crowd through the entire bout it was obvious that Rungravee had indelbily introduced himself to a part of the world new to him.

In the wake of his exciting first appearance, Rungravee would be brought back to the states just two months later to face Spain's Andres Martinez.  His move-forward style remained as he absorbed the strikes of the Spaniard dismissively.  Attacks to his legs eventually wore down Martinez, leaving him in a struggle to balance himself upright, when finally knees from the unforgiving opponent finally had the ref step in for the TKO.

Rungravee has built an international reputation on aggressiveness, willing to absorb punishment in order to relentlessly move forward on opponents.  A style fit for the American audience, Rungravee guarantees violence and effort no matter what the outcome.

Results and Recap: M-One "Team Thailand vs. Team America"

by Faye Lucas

Los Angeles, CA -- Club Nokia played host to M-One's "Team Thailand vs. Team America" on Friday night. Representing the United States were Kevin Ross, Joe Schilling and Romie Adanza; the Thai team was composed of Sakkedao Petchpayathai, Kaoklai Kaennorsing and Langsuanlek Sasiprapa. It was a best of three and America had an opportunity to make a statement and that is exactly what they did.

The night's first American vs. Thai fight featured Kevin Ross against Sakkedao and as expected Ross came out looking to make a statement early. His boxing looked crisp as he worked the body for Sakkedao, which he then used to set up his attacks up high. Sakkedao seemed to be playing the feeling out game early on, but for Ross it was business from the first bell. At the start of the second round Sakkedao began to pick up the pace as he began to press some of the action and score with knees and elbows, especially in the clinch. Ross was more than willing to fire back, including a few spinning elbows. As the third round started Ross was bleeding from the bridge of his nose and

Results and Recap: Stand Up Promotions "M1 Grand Muay Thai Championship"

Los Angeles, CA -- The biggest Muay Thai fight to ever hit American soil took place when Thai legend Saenchai and American stand out Kevin Ross met at Stand Up Promotions "M1 Grand Muay Thai Championship". On the line was Saenchai's MTAA world title as well as the first ever WBC Muay Thai diamond belt.

In the night's main event Kevin Ross and Saenchai came out to loud cheers from the crowd and they did no disappoint. It was clear from the start of the bout that Ross was looking to press the action and use his size and boxing to gain the upper hand. The very crafty Saenchai moved well around the ring and was able to mitigate Ross' attack by clinching or moving and connecting with counter strikes. Ross clearly showed he was game, never backing down from Saenchai and consistently pressing the action. Midway threw the fight a head kick from Saenchai sent Ross to the canvas, but he recovered quickly. Saenchai built a good lead for himself going into the final round and Ross came out swinging, but unfortunately for the American it was not enough as the fight ended up going to a decision. Two judges scored the fight for Saenchai 48-46 and the third judge scored it a draw at 47-47. Saenchai takes home a majority decision and the first ever WBC Muay Thai diamond belt, as well as his MTAA world title.
