Chaz Mulkey talks upcoming fight with Joe Schilling

There is lots of talk about the upcoming Malaipet vs. Kevin Ross fight on Dec. 5th, but the other pro fight on the card is set to be just as exciting. Chaz Mulkey and Joe Schilling are going meet in what is expected to be an all out war. Both fighters are aggressive and like to attack, so is should be the Muay Thai version of rock em sock em robots, but with technique. Chaz Mulkey answered some question for MuayThaiAuthority.com about the upcoming fight with Joe.

MTA: How has your training been going for your upcoming fight with Joe Schilling? Are you still training with One Kick Nick and Lookchang?

Chaz: Training has been the best I've had in over a year...wasn't able to train with Nick and Lookchang for this fight my new work schedule conflicts with the training schedule at one kicks...instead I went and found my old trainer Master Nope and he has been getting me ready for this fight.  He trained me for a couple years when I was at Toddy's till he left to do his own thing.  He was the one that really took my game to the next level when I was coming up.  Still would like to train with Nick and Lookchang too, but I'm very happy to be back with Master Nope he has gotten me back to my old ways when I was running through people a couple years ago.

Kevin Ross talks upcoming fight with Malaipet

For anyone who has been living under a rock, the most anticipated Muay Thai fight in America will be taking place at Stand-Up Promotions King's Birthday Celebration. On December 5th at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, CA Kevin Ross and Malaipet will meet in the middle of a ring and likely put on what will become an epic battle. MuayThaiAuthority.com had the opportunity to catch up with Kevin Ross and discuss his upcoming fight with Malaipet.

MTA: You have what is going to be the biggest Muay Thai fight in the U.S. coming up on December 5th. You are going to be fighting Malaipet. How has your training for the fight been going?

Kevin: Training’s been going great, rough as always but great. Ever since I started I have trained for every fight as if it was for the world title. To me the most important fight is the next one you have coming up, so no matter who it is I train as if they are the best fighter on the planet. I give 100% every time that way win, loose or draw I know I gave it my all and won’t have any regrets.

Malaipet talks upcoming fight with Kevin Ross

On December 5th, Stand-Up Promotions will be bringing 2010's biggest Muay Thai fight of the year to Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, CA. Malaipet vs. Kevin Ross is the most anticipated fight of the year for Muay Thai in America. MuayThaiAuthority.com recently had the chance to catch up with Malaipet and discuss various things, among them the critics saying Malaipet is done, and the long running speculation that Malaipet does not take his training seriously.

The only way you can describe Malaipet is "Warrior", he doesn't ask about his opponents, he doesn't pick his opponents, he simply gets an offer from the promoter that he likes and he fights, doesn't matter who you put in front of him. When asked about his upcoming fight with arguably the best American Muay Thai fighter, Kevin Ross. Malaipet acknowledged that Ross is a good opponent, but states that he didn't know his opponent when accepting to fight. He accepted the fight because he liked the promoters offer.
