Thai Fight Vietnam 2015 Fight Card

Thai Fight Vietnam 2015 takes place this Saturday, October 24th. The event will be held at the Military Zone 7 Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. As per the usual Thai Fight some of the more popular Thai fighters will be in action.

Saiyok Pumphanmuang will face Canadian Alain Sylvestre as he look to push his current win streak to 11 fights. Sudsakorn Sor. Klinmee will be looking to win his sixth consecutive fight when he faces Nicholas Carter of England, and Saenchai PK Saenchaimuaythaigym will make a quick return to the ring just 14 days after his previous fight for Yokkao as he looks to win his 12th consecutive fight when he faces Brazil's Victor Nunes.

The Pinto brothers will also be in action as they have become regulars for the Thai Fight promotion. Antoine Pinto will look to win his fourth straight fight and continue on his current tear, he has lost only once in his last 17 fights. Looking to stop his momentum will be Pascal Schroth of Germany. Antoine's younger brother Victor Pinto will look to pick up his 10th straight win by defeating Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat.

Thai Fight 2014 Final Results: Yodsanklai and Saenchai score first round stoppages

The final event of 2014 took place for Thai Fight today and it featured some great finishes by some of the biggest names in Muay Thai. Some of the fights were fought with rope wrapped around the fighters hands like in Muay Boran, while other featured gloves. Yodsanklai Fairtex was in action and he continued to steam roll through the competition. Christophe Pruvost was the victim this time, as soon as this fight began Yodsanklai planted Pruvost on his rear end with straight left. Seconds later a right dropped Pruvost again. Purvost was able to beat the referee's count both times, but a few seconds after the second knockdown another straight left knocked him down and the referee had seen enough and the fight was stopped. The win is Yodsanklai's fourth straight by (T)KO, he has not lost a fight since November of 2011 and has now won 16 consecutive fights.

Saenchai scored an exciting knockout over his opponent, Ghilas Barache in the first round of their fight. A lightning fast head kick connected from Saenchai while he had Barache against the ropes and ended the fight. It was a spectacular knockout by Saenchai.

Dylan Salvador defeats Saiyok at Roschtigrabe Derby

Dylan Salvador and Saiyok Pumphanmuang squared off this past Saturday at Roschtigrabe Derby event in Switzerland, and despite being a young up and coming fighter not many gave Salvador a chance of beating Saiyok. It was a surprise too many when Salvador was victorious after Saiyok could not continue after the first round. It was later discovered that he did not answer the bell due to a knee injury. It is unfortunate that the win was due to an injury, but having a victory over Saiyok on your resume is huge for Salvador.

In one of the other night’s notable fights Hakim Hamech, Salvador’s team mate of Team Nasser K defeated Lumpinee ranked Hongtonglek Chor.Fahsitong. Like Salvador not many expected Hamech to win his bout, but he was able to pull out the upset victory.

Results and Recap: Super 4 Tournament; Saiyok edges Watson in Finals

A four man tournament took place in Thailand yesterday featuring Saiyok Pumphanmuang, Jordan Watson, Ilya Grad and Vuyisile Colossa. The opening round matched up Saiyok vs. Colossa and Watson vs. Grad. Saiyok and Watson were both victorious as they each beat their opponents by decision. In the finals of the tournament Saiyok and Watson put on an entertaining fight for the fans. Saiyok is known for his aggressive style and Watson was more than willing to oblige as the pair exchanged kicks, punches, knees and elbows for five rounds. At one point Saiyok caught Watson with an elbow that seemed to knock out some of his teeth. In the end Saiyok did enough to take home a decision victory it what was a close and very exciting fight.

Also victorious on the card were Lerdsila Chumpairtour and Leo Monteiro. Lerdsila defeated Sofiane Derdega from France via decision and Monteiro scored a second round (T)KO due to knees over Jack Sitpoopantoo.

Thai Fight set for April 17th in Pattaya, Buakaw returns to action and Chaz Mulkey will fight Saiyok

Thai Fight will hold its first event of the year on April 17th in Pattaya, Thailand. The event will feature some big names including Saiyok Pumphanmuang, Kem Sitsongpeenong, Sudsakorn Sor. Klinmee and Buakaw Banchamek Gym.

Buakaw will be fighting for the first time after his highly publicized split from Por. Pramuk Gym. Since then Yokkao Boxing has helped him start building his new camp in the Surin Province of Thailand. Buakaw will be taking on Mickael Cornubet from France as well as sporting his new name of Banchamek Gym.

American Chaz Mulkey will also be on the card, he will be fighting Saiyok in what is expected to be the toughest test of Mulkey’s career. Saiyok was originally set to fight Rustem Zaripov, but Mulkey was recently brought in to replace him.

Saiyok, Watson, Grad and Colossa set for four man tournament in Thailand on April 3rd

As previously reported by Total Muay Thai, the Bangkok Convention Center will play host to a four man tournament on April 3rd. Scheduled to be part of the tournament will be U.K. standout Jordan Watson, Thailand’s Saiyok Pumphanmuang, Israeli fighter Ilya Grad and South African fighter Vuyisile Colossa.

Of the four fighters in the tournament, three (Watson, Grad and Colossa) were part of the reality TV show The Challenger Muaythai. Saiyok has to be considered the favorite going in to the tournament, but Watson, Colossa and Grad should all be formidable opponents.

The event is part of the "Sport is your Gang" campaign, which will launch on April 3rd. The purpose behind “Sport is your Gang” is to create a project where at risk youths will be encouraged to take up Muay Thai and encouraged to continue their education so that they can focus their efforts on positive self-development.
